If you know me in real life, you may have noticed that I take an awful lot of photos, and I want to start sharing them more. I thought a good place to start would be a visual guide to how the Snow family decorate the tree.
To start with, we get the tree out of the loft. This will be the last year we use the body-bag style cover since the handles fell off!
As well as the tree, we get the old egg box which has all of the decorations in. Seriously, this box is older than I am.
Next, we actually assemble the tree but that’s rather boring, so let’s skip ahead to the decorating! I’m in charge of this bit, and for the past few years there’s been a white and silver theme (with the exception of the chocolates, of course).
Before we get to the top of the tree, it’s time for a trip down memory lane with the angels of trees’ past. There’s a rather extravagant one, a cheaper cardboard-winged one and a one-armed angel – equal rights and all that.
Luckily, we also have a star since they are all pretty terrifying. Being short, I had to stand on a stool to reach – in my defense, the tree is on a table.
And there you have it – a slightly wonky, Snow family tree.
[Apologies for the quality of the photos, they were taken on my phone.]
