Dear 10 year old me,
This is a quick letter sent back through the past to help you make the most of every day. There’s three simple things for you to do that would help me out a great deal and would be better for you too. Ready?
If you need help in class, ask for it. You are not dumb or stupid if you don’t understand, you’re just learning these new things. No one will be mad at you for being wrong. No one will tell you off for not knowing something. You’ll do alright, but a little extra help never hurt anyone.
Hug your Grandparents for as long as you can, as often as you can and tell them you love them. You’re only just starting your life, but they’ve lived a lot of theirs. Not everyone lives to be a hunderd like you think they do. You don’t understand why people die, and neither do I if I’m really honest with you, but it happens. So make the most of you’re time together.
Try not to worry about change; it can be a good thing. With change comes more friends, new experiences and more fun than you could imagine. Life keeps moving forward and so must you, so embrace it. Afterall, changes is how you become me.
Now, go be a kid. Run, dance, shout, skip, hop, giggle. Go have advenutres. Go have fun.
Everything works out okay, I promise.
