Movie Monday: The Imitation Game

Based on real events, The Imitation Game follows legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) as he works with a team of Mathematicians trying to crack the code the Germans used in World War II. It’s a fascinating story which is weaved between three time periods; the 1920s and breaking the Enigma code, Turing’s arrest in the 1950s, and Turing’s school days. Everything is beautifully shot, and the cast are fantastic. The film does exaggerate the past, and uses a little creative licence, but nevertheless a brilliant film about a brilliant man.
